NO IDEA GALLERY 很榮幸邀請到英國藝術家Vaughan Tomlinson,在No Idea Gallery舉辦他亞洲首場個展「怪奇物語」(Oddly Enough)。
Meet the Artist

Vaughan Tomlinson is an internationally acclaimed cartoonist and illustrator, born in South Africa to a British family. His multicultural upbringing shaped a global perspective, now anchored in New York City. Known for single-panel comics, he merges British dark humour—dry, irreverent, and ironic—with observations from life across five continents. His work deftly balances absurdity and poignancy, avoiding cheap laughs while dissecting societal nuances. Published in The Wall Street Journal, The Times, and the UK’s Private Eye, he has honed his craft through instant audience feedback, amassing over 68,000 Instagram followers and crafting universally resonant wit. Declaring “humour as a survival tool,” Tomlinson champions art rooted in lived experience. He recently collaborated with peers to advocate for the “messy, unpredictable genius” of human artists over algorithmic mimicry. His spontaneous process—from street sketches to digital satire—spans existential robots and animals slyly mocking human folly, embodying wit as unpredictable as life itself.
